We work together
As an industry leader, Adbri directly employs over 1600 people across our diverse operations, as well as engaging local contractors and suppliers across 130+ locations in Australia.
Embracing differences
Since our inception in 1882 when William Lewis, a Welsh immigrant, officially opened the Brighton Cement Works, Adbri has invested in Australian communities; creating strong futures for our employees while helping cities and towns prosper.
Like our founders and the communities in which we operate, our people come from many different backgrounds and cultures. We recognise the value that an inclusive workplace brings and are committed to providing a workplace that values and promotes diversity of skills, experiences and cultural backgrounds.
Reconciliation
In 2020, Adbri released its inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to help further develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The RAP provides an opportunity to accelerate our journey towards reconciliation by focusing on building opportunities in the areas of employment, education, empowerment and economic development, while enhancing the cultural understanding of our non-Indigenous workforce. The implementation of the RAP is supported by a working group consisting of representatives from across Adbri.
A copy of the RAP can be found here.
Workplace Gender Equality
As part of Adbri’s commitment to an inclusive workplace we report annually under the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.
